Before we begin, I’d like to remind you, or point out for those who didn’t know that as a Trevi customer, you have access to the Customer Access portal on our website. When you’ll log in to the Customer Access, you’ll have access to a number of documents that will be very useful for maintaining and operating your spa. You’ll also find many videos that will help you operate your spa in the Tips and Advice section on our website. For example, you’ll find tutorials on how to use one of the maintenance kits that you can find at Trevi, depending on the branch where you buy your products. There are also tutorials on how to change the fuses in your spa if one breaks, and so on. It will be one more tool to help you maintain and operate your spa. Another very important and useful website is that of our supplier Gecko. Based in Quebec, they supply everything related to pumps and spa electronics. You can see their web address right now. This website is very well done. You’ll also find various video tutorials. We’ll come back to these later, but among other things: how to use your spa keypad or the in.Touch system that allows you to control your spa remotely with your smartphone. How to install the system properly, how to operate your spa remotely with your smartphone. In short, the website of the Quebec company Gecko, which manufactures many of the Trevi spa components, will be a very useful tool for you to operate your spa properly. RECEIVING YOUR SPA To begin, let’s look at the different steps you’ll have to do when you receive your spa at home. Obviously, the delivery team will drop the spa where you’ve made your base, and once the electrical connection has been made by your electrician, the first step will be to find the cartridges. Depending on the model of spa you have, the cartridges can be found inside the skimmer: we’ll look at the two types of skimmers that can be found on Trevi spas. Cartridges can also be found inside the spa where there is what we call the pack, the electronic brain of the spa is, if you like, where the electrician will have plugged in your spa. So, if your cartridges aren’t inside the skimmer, they’re inevitably inside the spa. To access them, the first step is to remove the skirt panel beneath the keypad. Depending on the spa model you have, there are screws you’ll need to unscrew with a square-headed screwdriver. Now, some Trevi spas have larger screws that require no tools to unscrew them. You can do this by hand, simply by removing the skirt panel beneath the keypad. You will then remove the polystyrene foam in front of the pack and reach inside to find the cartridges of your spa. If your cartridges are not inside your spa, it means that they are inside the skimmer. As I mentioned earlier, there are two types of skimmers for Trevi spas. The first type of skimmer has a grid. To access the cartridges, you will need to remove the grid. Of course, you need to cut the tie wrap to be able to remove it. Once this is done, you can access the cartridges and remove them. The second type of skimmer found on Trevi spas is tube-shaped. The cartridges are found inside them. To access the cartridges, you need to cut the tie wrap, then unscrew the retaining ring to remove the tube, which will give you access to the cartridges. You can now remove them. Once everything is removed, you can screw the retaining ring back on before placing the tube. However, don’t put the cartridges back in just yet, because as we’ll see, once we’ve started the spa, the first step is to do a thorough cleaning.

Plusieurs accessoires vous permettront d'optimiser l'expérience dans votre spa, mais certains produits vont aussi rendre votre moment plus agréable. Il y a bien entendu tous les produits chimiques afin de conserver votre eau bien propre et sécuritaire à la baignade, mais d'autres produits servent avant tout à adoucir l'eau et à la rendre plus claire. Selon la succursale où vous vous présenterez, trois produits seront offerts à vous : le Optimizer Plus, le Spa Complete ou le Pearl Spa. Le Optimizer Plus et le Pearl Spa ont la même fonction, soit d'adoucir l'eau. Vous pouvez les mettre directement dans l'eau du spa, laissez agir une quinzaine de minutes et vous êtes prêts à vous tremper. Pour le Optimizer Plus, vous aurez tous les bénéfices du produit si vous le laissez agir de 3 à 4 heures avant la baignade. Ces deux produits laisseront une sensation de douceur sur votre peau mais ils rendront aussi encore plus efficaces les produits chimiques que vous aurez mis au préalable dans l'eau de votre spa. Ils empêcheront aussi la corrosion sur les surfaces métalliques. Une autre belle option pour adoucir l'eau de votre spa est le Spa Complete. Il a trois fonctions bien précises en plus d'avoir une fragrance de lavande et d'eucalyptus. Il va donc rendre l'eau bien claire et limpide, la nettoyer en plus de l'adoucir. Ajoutez la quantité requise directement dans l'eau du spa et laissez agir une quinzaine de minutes. Il est donc effectivement important de garder une eau bien propre, mais l'utilisation de certains produits, tels que ceux mentionnés ci-haut optimisera encore plus votre expérience.

Comme le spa est un petit bassin rempli d'eau chaude, il faut porter une attention particulière à son entretien puisque c'est un milieu propice à la multiplication des bactéries. Trévi a mis sur pied, avec ses partenaires, deux trousses complètes pour l'entretien de votre spa pendant 3 mois consécutifs. La Trousse Trio contient trois produits. Avant de commencer tout nettoyage, il est conseillé de retirer les appuis-tête et les cartouches de filtration afin de ne rien abîmer et de fermer les valves d'air. Ensuite, avant même de vidanger votre eau, versez le nettoyant régénérant de spa directement dans l'eau du spa afin d'entretenir la tuyauterie et laissez un bon brassage pendant une quinzaine de minutes. Lorsque le brassage est terminé, vidangez l'eau et remplissez votre spa à nouveau. Lorsque votre spa est rempli, ajoutez le produit adoucissant / optimisant, afin de rendre l'eau douce et agréable à la baignade pendant 3 mois. Par la suite, une fois par semaine, utilisez une enveloppe de clarifiant / adoucissant qui agira comme votre traitement choc afin d'éliminer les impuretés dans l'eau. La Trousse Trio ne contient pas de produit d'assainissement, vous pouvez donc choisir le produit de votre choix. Lorsque vous ajoutez les différents produits de la Trousse Trio, nous vous conseillons de laisser les jets fonctionner pour une vingtaine de minutes et de laisser le couvercle ouvert. Il est aussi recommandé de faire tester votre eau en succursale aux 3 mois afin de vous assurer d'avoir une eau saine et sécuritaire en tout temps.

If we want the water to circulate well in the pipes and be pleasant to swim in, we must make sure that all the equipment in the spa is properly cleaned. Which means descaling the plumbing, sanitizing the water, and removing bacteria. We recommend cleaning the plumbing when you drain the spa water every 3 to 4 months. Many products are available, depending on your superstore: Whirl, Whirl Pro or Swirl Away.  Before starting, it’s critical to remove the headrests to avoid damaging them. Also remove the cartridges since some products can produce foam when the filtration cycle is running, and it could get into the cartridges. To prevent foam from getting into the air valves, close them.  If you’re using the Whirl or Swirl Away, pour the content in the water as per directions on bottle. Depending on the product used and the volume of water, run the filtration cycle from 1 to 4 hours, then drain the water.  For the Whirl Pro, sprinkle products 1 and 2 directly on the spa water and let the filtration cycle run for 4 hours. Then, sprinkle product 3 and leave it for about 15 minutes. It’s important to let the cover open during the filtration cycle. Be aware that the spa timer will automatically shut off the pumps after 20 minutes, so you should start them regularly to ensure that the water circulates through the entire system. When the circulation is complete, drain the water. An advantage of the Whirl Pro is that it doesn’t foam.  After the process, do a good cleaning of the acrylic. You can watch our video tutorial: “How to Keep Your Spa Cover and Acrylic in Good Condition” to help you with that. Fill the spa with clean water and heat it. We recommend checking the water parameters in-store to ensure a clean water to swim. 

No matter what type of cleaning, it’s always more pleasant to do it with the right tools. Here are some products that will help you ensure a good cleaning of your spa.  First, cleaning wipes, which are soap-free, can be used for both floating toys and pool accessories. We recommend that you never use household cleaning wipes for your spa or pool as they contain soap, which can damage your equipment.  Body oils or even creams may remain in your spa water after use. To remove them and do an effective cleaning, you can use the Zorbie or the Spa ball. Both products work in the same way. Let them soak in the spa water to trap oil residue and minimize foaming in the spa. When the Spa ball or Zombie sinks to the bottom of the spa, after 30 to 90 days, their absorption power is gone and you need to replace them.  If there is residue in the bottom of your spa, you can use a spa vacuum. Plug the opening at the end of the handle, immerse the vacuum into the water, remove your finger and let the suction action do its work. Debris is retained by the filter inside the vacuum as you let the water flow back into the spa. When the filter is full, just empty it, rinse it, and start the process again! 

Properly maintaining your spa also means cleaning and treating the acrylic and cover with well-adapted products. Depending on your superstore, two types of products will be available to you: the cover cleaner and acrylic cleaner or the Swirl Away. To keep your spa cover in good condition, it’s important to protect and treat it properly. To do this, you can use the cover cleaner or the Swirl Away. Both products are used in the same way. First, remove coarse dirt with a garden hose, then, section by section, spray a bit of cleaner and wipe it off with a clean, dry cloth in a rotating motion. They have the same purpose of cleaning and treating but also blocking the harmful effects of UV rays. To clean the acrylic, you can proceed in much the same way with the acrylic cleaner or the Swirl Away. Once the spa is empty, spray on a large area and leave it for a few minutes, especially if there are stubborn spots. Then, wipe everything off with a clean, dry cloth.

Vous venez de faire l’achat d’un nouveau spa? Lorsque vous le branchez, il est possible que cela fasse disjoncter (sauter) le disjoncteur à répétition. Dans la plupart des cas, le branchement n’a pas été fait de façon optimale au départ. Il faut donc téléphoner à votre électricien afin de le mettre en contact avec l’équipe Trévi qui pourra lui donner certaines indications qui permettront de régler la situation facilement. Si votre spa fonctionne depuis longtemps, mais que le disjoncteur commence à disjoncter, vous pouvez faire un test supplémentaire si vous possédez un spa avec un panneau XE afin de trouver la source du problème. Si vous avez un panneau YP, effectuez un appel de service et un technicien Trévi ira vous aider. Vous devez d’abord débrancher toutes les composantes du spa, sauf le clavier. Donc, éteignez le disjoncteur et débranchez chacun des fils. Ensuite, rebranchez un fil puis allumez le disjoncteur. Patientez environ 5 minutes afin de voir si le disjoncteur saute à nouveau. Si tout fonctionne, faites la même manipulation avec le fil suivant jusqu’à ce que le disjoncteur saute à nouveau. Vous aurez alors trouvé quelle composante de votre spa a un problème et vous pourrez effectuer un appel de service pour corriger la situation. Parfois, il se peut que ce soit plus long avant que le disjoncteur saute. Vous pouvez alors refaire le test en attendant une journée avant de rebrancher le fil suivant. Après avoir effectué ces manipulations, si vous n’avez pas trouvé la source du problème, il se pourrait que ce soit le branchement qui relie le disjoncteur jusqu’à l’ordinateur ou encore un problème de chauffe-eau. Dans tous les cas, vous devrez effectuer un appel de service chez Trévi, mais vous serez en mesure d’orienter la demande grâce aux petits tests que vous avez effectués.Visualisez les différentes étapes en consultant le vidéo français ici. Il peut arriver que certains jets de votre spa ne fonctionnent plus. Ceci peut être causé par un problème de pompe ou de fusibles. Cependant, avant d'effectuer quelque manipulation que ce soit, nous vous suggérons d'éteindre et de rallumer le disjoncteur afin de faire une réinitialisation. Dans certains cas, ceci peut régler le problème et tous les jets fonctionnent à nouveau. Si ce n'est pas le cas, vous pouvez ouvrir la jupe de votre spa, enlever la mousse isolante et rejoindre l'ordinateur du spa. Si vous avez un boîtier XE, nous vous expliquons comment faire afin de vérifier si c'est tout simplement un fusible qui est brûlé. Si vous avez un boîtier YT, référez-vous à notre vidéo associée: https://bit.ly/2GrYKBJ Premièrement, avant de manipuler quoique ce soit, n'oubliez pas d'éteindre votre disjoncteur afin d'enlever l'électricité et éviter tout danger. Le principe est d'échanger les fils identifiés avec des embouts de couleurs afin de vérifier si les jets qui fonctionnent sont différents de lorsque vous avez remarqué le problème. Pour pouvoir interchanger les fils, il est important de retirer les guides de couleurs sinon la manipulation ne pourra pas être effectuée. S'il y a un changement au niveau de vos jets, vous saurez alors que vous avez un fusible à changer. Ceux-ci se trouvent derrière la petite porte bleue sur l'ordinateur de votre spa. Des fusibles sont disponibles dans les supermagasins Trévi à moindre coût. Si cette manipulation ne change rien, c'est probablement un problème de pompe et vous devrez alors effectuer un appel de service. Un technicien Trévi viendra effectuer quelques tests supplémentaires à la maison et régler la situation.
