The permanent anchor will be your best ally during winter's high winds. It's a device to be permanently fixed to the ground (it can't be installed in grass or soil).
In winter, the anchors are equipped with eyelets for securing the carport.
In summer, the eyelets are replaced by screws.
Installing anchors requires tools (a drill with a 7/8“ diameter bit and at least 17” in length) and a great deal of physical strength to drive the hooks into the ground.
