Green 9 mil solar cover - Rectangular in-ground pool

To clean a solar cover, lay it on a clean surface (grass or patio) and rinse it with a garden hose. Use a soft brush and mild soap if needed to remove dirt and residue. Rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of soap. Allow it to dry completely before replacing it on the pool or storing it. Regular cleaning helps prevent buildup, maintains its effectiveness, and extends its lifespan.

Before storing, ensure the canvas is clean and completely dry to prevent mold. Fold or roll it carefully, then store it in a dry, shaded location such as a shed or garage. Avoid leaving it outdoors during the winter, as frost and UV rays can damage it. Proper storage significantly extends the canvas's lifespan

When installing a solar cover roll on a round above-ground pool, it is best not to attach it to the coping stones, as the weight of the roll and the cover could damage them.

Instead, install the roller outside the pool, either on the patio or on wooden or metal supports adjusted to the pool's height. Position the roller at one end of the pool so it can roll and unroll the cover in a straight line. Then, assemble the telescopic tube, attach the solar cover with the provided clips, and use the crank to roll or unroll the cover. This method ensures easy and safe operation while extending the life of both the cover and the pool structure.

To install a solar cover on a round above-ground pool, simply unfold the cover on the water, bubbles facing down, then center it so that it rests evenly across the entire surface. If the edges overhang too much, you can trim the cover slightly to fit the shape of the pool. The cover should float freely, without being pulled or tied down, to properly conform to the water's surface. For easier daily installation and removal, using a solar roller is highly recommended: it allows you to roll and unroll the cover in seconds, effortlessly, while reducing the risk of tearing. Proper installation maximizes heat retention and reduces evaporation.

• Speed & simplicity winding/unwindingsoloin <1 min, without battling with the web.
• Fabric durability: less than prints/folds, bubbles that burst less; the UV-resistant cover on the reel limits degradation in the sun.
• More efficient heating: on puts on/takes off more often at the right time (night/day), therefore better thermal gain And less evaporation.
• Safety & storage: clothneat and stable, less risk of tripping; reduced clutter at the edge of the pool.

A solar cover offers several important advantages that improve the efficiency and comfort of your pool while reducing maintenance costs.

It reduces water evaporation by 70 to 95%, saving thousands of liters per season depending on the pool size. The cover also reduces heat loss overnight, keeping the water temperature more stable and shortening heating cycles. It also reduces chemical consumption by 30 to 60% because it protects the water from UV rays and limits natural evaporation, making maintenance simpler and more economical.

In summary, a solar cover saves water, heat and products while providing more stable and pleasant water.

Common causes:

• Aggressive chemistry(low pH, high chlorine, shock to the existing canvas).

• Overheating in the sun

• Wet/folded storagefor a long time (stagnant chlorinated water).

To maximize heat gain with a solar cover, it is recommended to install it at night and remove it during the day. At night, the cover significantly reduces heat loss through evaporation and helps retain the heat accumulated during the day. During the day, the cover is removed so that the water is directly exposed to the sun and heats up more quickly. For swimming and chemical treatments (especially shock treatments), the solar cover must be removed, the product left to work for 12 to 24 hours according to the instructions, then rinsed with clean water before replacing it.

Yes. Bubbles DOWN (in contact with the water): they create the insulating layer and prevent the cover from slipping. Smooth side facing up.

It is important to select the exact size of your pool based on the available options. If the precise size is not available, it is recommended to choose a slightly larger size so it can be trimmed as needed for a perfect fit.

The thickness affects durability and insulation; solar gain depends mostly on sunlight and the color/transparency of the cover.

• 9 mil: lightweight, economical, heats the water quickly but has a shorter lifespan.
• 11 mil: better balance between heat retention, durability, and ease of handling.

A canvas bubbles placed on the water which:

• Limits evaporation(often 70–95%), therefore less heat loss.

• Retains heat at night thanks to the insulation created by the air bubbles.

• Reduces product consumption(less evaporation and UV on the water).
