FAQ

The only effective way to reduce an excessively high stabilizer level is topartially drain the pool and refill it with fresh waterToo high a stabilizer level makes chlorine much less effective, which can lead to green water, persistent algae, and overconsumption of products.

Add the stabilizer (cyanuric acid) directly into the skimmer. Let the filtration run continuously until completely dissolved, which may take several hours or days. Then retest and adjust as needed.

The stabilizer must be kept between30 and 60 ppmBelow 20 ppm, chlorine breaks down too quickly in sunlight. Above 80 ppm, it becomes less effective, which can make the water difficult to clarify.

The main function of a stabilizer is to protect chlorine from UV rays. Without it, up to 90% of chlorine can disappear in a few hours under the sun. By adding a stabilizer:

- You keep a sufficient amount of active chlorine for longer.

- You reduce the frequency of chlorine additions.

- You ensure constant and effective disinfection.

Be careful, however: too much stabilizer can make the chlorine less effective. This is why it is important to follow the recommended dosages and test the water regularly.
