Permanent anchors will be your best friend during strong winter winds. These devices must be permanently anchored to the ground (they cannot be installed in grass or soil).
In winter, the anchors are equipped with eyelets to secure the carport.
In summer, the eyelets are replaced by screws.
Installing the anchors requires tools (a drill with a 7/8-inch diameter bit at least 17 inches long) and requires a great deal of physical strength to drive the hooks into the ground.
