Maintaining an above-ground pool skimmer is essential to ensure proper water circulation and preserve the performance of the filtration system. It is recommended to empty the skimmer basket at least once or twice a week, or more frequently during periods of heavy use or when debris (leaves, insects, etc.) accumulates. Regularly check the condition of the flap (floating door) to ensure it moves freely and is not obstructed. Also, clean the gasket and inspect the fittings to prevent air leaks that could impair suction. Simple, regular maintenance extends the life of the equipment and keeps the water clean and clear.

  • Leak due to a crack or deformation (body/neck): it's necessaryreplace the skimmer.
  • Liner replacement: We highly recommend to replace the skimmer and the sealing gasket(New flange/seals = better sealing and longevity).
