Closing guide

1. Preparation and
initial cleaning

  1. Remove
    the spa cover and place it in a clean place.
  2. Inspect
    inside: look for
    cracks, debris or signs of wear.
  3. Remove the filter cartridge, soak it in a suitable cleaner, rinse well and let it dry. Then store it in a frost-free place.

2. Cleaning of piping and components

  1. Check the spa water level and correct it if necessary.
  2. Open all the jets so that the cleaner circulates well in the pipes.
  3. Pour thepipe cleaner(such as TREVINERGY WHIRL 500 ml or equivalent) in water.
  4. Run the pumps for the recommended cycles (according to the product instructions)
  5. Turn off the power to the spa by closing thecircuit breakerexternal (and internal if applicable)

3. Draining

  1. Empty the spa using either agravity drain, or asubmersible pumpaccording to your preferences or available equipment
  2. Quickly rinse the empty tank, thendry the remaining waterwith an absorbent towel or a wet/dry vacuum cleaner.

4. Thorough drying (jets, piping, pumps)

  1. Open the access panel to reach the pumps and piping.
  2. Disconnect hoses if necessary to access the pumps.
  3. Use asweeper (suction/blowing)to remove all traces of water from pipes, jets and pumps, first proceeding in "blowing" mode
    ", then in "aspiration"
  4. Repeat for each technical component until everything is dry.

5. Antifreeze

  1. Block the drain, then use aspecific antifreeze for spas(non-toxic, safe for acrylic).
  2. Inject approximately100 ml in each jet,250 ml in the skimmer drains, and a similar amount in the valve/diverter lines to the pumps.
  3. Then clean the inside of the tank with aacrylic cleanerto remove any deposit or residue.

6. External protection and finishing

  1. Place arigid support (styrofoam or board)on the spa before closing the cover, to protect against the weight of the snow.
  2. Close the lid, ensuring it is securely seated, thenlay down a waterproof protective canvasover it to prevent water infiltration during the winter
