How to properly maintain the cartridge of your filter?

Cartridges can be rinsed every month and cleaned as needed with a specific product. It’s recommended to clean the cartridge at the end of the season, along with closing the pool, or as needed during the season. It should be replaced every 1 to 2 years, depending on its condition. If the cartridge becomes too clogged or damaged, it will need to be replaced to maintain efficient filtration.

How to install a cartridge filter?

Installing a cartridge filter on an above-ground or in-ground pool is quite simple to do yourself. The filter should be installed after the pump and before the pool. If you have additional equipment, such as a heat pump, the filter should be placed before the heat pump in the system. Next, you need to connect the pipes by linking the inlet pipe (pump) to the filter’s inlet and the filter’s outlet to the return pipe going to the pool/equipment. It’s important to check all the connections to make sure they’re properly tightened to avoid leaks. Finally, once the installation is complete, turn on the pump and check that the water is circulating correctly.
