To install a filter, first position the filter on a stable surface and level the unit. Connect the inlet (INLET) from the pump and the outlet (OUTLET) to the pool according to the manufacturer's diagram. Then open the cover, insert the cartridge(s) into their slots, and securely close the cover using the locking ring. Remember to apply lubricant to the cover seal. Purge the air using the designated valve, then start the pump to check for proper operation and leaks.


For a water filter (swimming pool), the cartridge must be changed when it is clogged, damaged, or when the pressure increases abnormally. Generally, pool cartridges are replaced every 1 to 3 years, or more often depending on usage. An old cartridge reduces filtration efficiency and increases the load on the pump.
