Key tips for closing your pool properly

  • Close as late as possible in the season.
  • Gather all the necessary materials: These items are available on our website or in stores.

Make sure the water is balanced and clean

  • Water balance: Before closing, test and adjust the water parameters to help protect the liner and equipment, and make opening easier in the spring.
  • Water cleanliness: Remove leaves and debris before closing. If leaves fall in after closing, you can use a leaf skimmer connected to a garden hose, without needing to run the filtration system.

A crucial step, simplified

According to several studies conducted in different environments, pool water left unbalanced throughout the entire winter can promote the formation of wrinkles in the liner and may even contribute to concrete deterioration.

Before closing, analyze and balance your water with our Online Water Analysis tool, or visit a store with a water sample to better protect your pool during the winter.
